All Creatures Great and Small (2020-)

This is the second TV version of James Herriott’s books and I am not ashamed to say this is by far my favorite version.  So well done; filmed in the Yorkshire Dales with absolutely beautiful scenery.  Every detail down to clothing and hairstyles are so authentic.  The stories are, as expected, very true to the books which is exactly what I hoped for, cozy and as comfortable as your favorite old pair of jeans and sweatshirt.  There are plenty of scenes with period veterinary medicine remedies and animals being treated as you would expect, but the real story is the way the producers have pulled everything together and created such a visual masterpiece.  I won’t go into any more details – just check out this series when you’re in the mood to snuggle into your favorite chair and relax and enjoy some good old-fashioned family entertainment.
