Doc Martin series

Imagine being one of the top surgeons in the UK who suddenly discovers he gets nauseous and sick feeling at the site of blood.  Doc Martin has this sudden problem and he is given a new job assignment in a quiet Cornish village as a GP.  The only problem is he has quite the nasty disposition and prefers his patients unconscious and not complaining.  He also is quite talented at insulting his patients and offends everyone else he meets.  Only his aunt Joan is glad to see him and she is also the reason why he has chosen this tiny village to practice in.  The village also has more than a few other quirky characters who make things even more interesting for Doc Martin and I won’t even get into why he hates dogs but one particular little dog keeps sneaking into his office and just loves him.  

The scenery is the other star of this series.  Every season the cast and crew of Doc Martin go on location to Port Isaac, Cornwall and film for weeks so the authenticity is amazing.  The uniqueness and the humor just might make me rewatch this series myself
