Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

What a great movie for both kids and their parents to enjoy during the holiday break from school.  Even though there are two fun versions, this original with Gene Wilder is just special.  No CGI or parlor tricks, just good old fashioned ingenuity in creating the fantastical scenes and musical numbers.  And who can ever forget the interior scenes at Charlie’s house with the grandparents all tucked into the same bed?  I do hope that the parents who haven’t already done so will take this opportunity to spend some family time with the kids enjoying this movie and having a bit of fun themselves reliving a nice memory with their own siblings and parents.    10 out of 10 stars for this whimsical family movie.
