The Little Paris Bookshop

Jean Perdu is a solitary man with a broken heart. He dispenses “the Cure” — a book perfectly matched to each person who comes aboard his bookstore barge on the Seine…his floating “literary apothecary.”
When Manon, Perdu’s lover, vacates his life (20 years ago), he becomes a lost soul. Although Perdu is an able healer of others, he does not have a remedy for his own ailment. He lives a life as anchored as his barge; he is tethered to the past.
Catherine recently moved into the same building where Perdu has lived for many years. She is making a new life for herself after the demise of her marriage. She lets a small shaft of light into Perdu’s heart and soul. A letter addressed to Perdu surfaces. The letter was written many years ago by Manon.
This cataclysmic event spurs Perdu into action. He sets himself free (no spoiler alert here) and charts a new course that includes a journey into the past which enables him to create a new life for himself and Catherine.
