Peanut Butter Falcon

Shia LeBeouf (Transformers fame) and sidekick Zack Gottsagen, a young man with Downs syndrome have quite the adventure in this film.  Zack’s character has just escaped from a residential nursing home to hopefully fulfill his dream of attending wrestling school operated by his idol, a rundown pro wrestler (Thomas Haden Church).  Along the way he meets Shia’s character who is a small-town outlaw and they team up.  Shia’s character becomes Zack’s wrestling coach.  Eventually a woman (Dakota Johnson) from the nursing home sent to find Zack runs into them.  The guys set about trying to convince Dakota’s character to join them on their quest.  The casting is perfect, the script is amazing and I have to say that this movie is one I would watch again and again – so different from any other movie and quite the surprise quirky hit.  Great watch on a rainy day or a relaxing evening of movie watching with a warm bowl of popcorn.
