The Friends of the Belmont Public Library is a separate 501(c)(3) organization that operates as a nonprofit membership group that works to strengthen, promote, and support the Belmont Public Library. In recent years, the Friends have funded summer reading prizes for our kids, the Library’s purchase of state park passes for our town residents and the creation of outreach materials like More than Books, a flier listing all the resources in the library that aren’t books–it’s a huge list! We also fundraise and apply for grants to raise monies for our eventual new library expansion.
